The ancient Villa Armira is a remarkable architectural and archaeological monument in the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria. It was discovered in 1964. As a result of the implementation of a project under the PHARE cross-border cooperation programme Bulgaria-Greece, the site was ready for visits by tourists (2006-2008). The Villa Armira is the ancient house that is most richly decorated with marble and mosaics in Bulgarian territories.
