Is Artificial Intelligence a Physician’s Orthesis or Prosthesis? The Philosophy of the Mediacal Practice in the AI Era

Our research goal is to encourage physicians and Al designers to further develop, implement, and progressively utilize Al in healthcare for various purposes. The text describes the nature of Al and the specifics of intelligent technologies' introduction as a part of clinician teams.

Importantly, we suggest two methods to investigate and evaluate the accuracy and precision of any autonomously generated diagnostics and treatment plans by Al. Both modes of testing are safe and bring no risk to patients. Hence, they don't violate any regulations, nor ethical codes related to this field.

The book also addresses a wide audience to explain that a large-scale involvement of Al into the medical workspace doesn't suspend the priority of human expertise.
