The Fourth Crusade and the Historical Memory of the Eastern Orthodox Slavs presents a new approach to the interesting theme of the Fourth Crusade and the capture of the Byzantine capital Constantinople by the western knights. The book is about the unknown world of Slavic

manuscripts and texts which through the centuries preserved the historical memory for the events of 1204 and the time of the Latin Empire. For the first time are published texts testifying to the long historical tradition among Orthodox Christian Slavs from Bulgaria, Serbia and Russia.
