Control of the socio-economic activity of church organizations

Dr. Asen Angelov holds a PhD in Economics, specializing in Finance, Money Circulation, Credit, and Insurance. His dissertation, titled "Financial and Economic Assessment of Direct Investments from the European Structural Funds on the Labour Market in Bulgaria " reflects his deep expertise in the field. He is a graduate of the University of National and World Economy (Sofia), New Bulgarian University (Sofia), D. A.Tsenov Academy of Economics (Svishtov), and the Faculty ofTheology at Sofia University.

Dr. Angelov has honed his skills through training at prominent national, European, and international institutions, including the European Union Training Centre (Brussels), the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), the International Labour Office, and the United Nations Development Programme. He has further specialized in Financial Management and Analysis at the University of Delaware and Financial Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Between 2005 and 2010, Dr. Angelov held senior positions at the National Employment Agency, including Head of the Pre-Accession Funds Sector, Head of the Programs and Projects Department, and Administrative Secretary of the State Fund for Agriculture. From 2013 to 2015, he served as the Executive Director of the National Employment Agency.

In academia, Dr. Angelov has taught at the University of National and World Economy, the University of Library and Information Science, and Sofia University. Currently, he is a faculty member at the Higher School of Insurance and Finance and coordinates the economic team for the Church Management Programme at the Faculty of Theology, Sofia University.

Dr. Angelov also contributed as an expert to Bulgaria's 40th National Assembly, focusing on the synchronization and adaptation of Bulgarian legislation with European directives and integration processes. He has served as an advisor to the Standing Committee on Labour, Social and Demographic Policy during the 43rd and 44th National Assemblies.

Since 2010, Dr. Angelov has managed his own consulting and investment firms, specializing in economic and financial analysis, investment project preparation and implementation, social and sector projects, organizational consulting, and human resource management.
