Белетристична книга на писателя Лъчезар Георгиев - Лице на ангел / Angel′s face, е двуезична, на български и английски език.

Надявам, че с идеите, позициите, различните гледни точки и светогледа на своя автор, разказите в този сборник ще се приемат, а наред с това да предизвикат интерес и да се четат леко и увлекателно, каквато е била и целта ми при тяхното написване – отбелязва Лъчезар Георгиев. – В тези мои разкази се съдържа интрига и поука, щастлив край или неочаквана развръзка; тук са налице също и творби с отворен финал.. И разбира се, читателят би могъл да размисли и за още неща, след като затвори тази книга – може би за смисъла на човешкото настояще, за изстрадания път към щастието, за копнежа към светлина и радост в един забързан, труден и объркан свят – света на глобалното настояще и загадъчното ни бъдеще.

Писателят композира в една обща цялост произведения, чиито сюжети се развиват зад граница – в Италия, Германия, Белгия, Португалия, Гърция. Героите се срещат по летища, в самолета, край морето, по европейските площади и пъбове, на брега на Атлантика и разказват увлекателно, с психологическа вглъбеност своите истории. В този смисъл Лъчезар Георгиев спокойно би могъл да нарече своите творби европейски разкази. Двуезичният сборник „Лице на ангел“ (Angel′s face) впечатлява с находчиви детайли и лайтмотиви, сполучливи послания с модерно звучене, увлекателна интрига, добра композиция. А за читателя остава да поеме по стъпките на героите.

Excerpt from the preface of Lachezar Georgiev to his book Angel′s face:

This book includes stories of mine from my fictional collections “One night in Antwerp”, “Element”, “Fury”, “A flight to Malpensa” and my book “On the coast of Lisbon”.

Written in different years and published in the last decade, these stories now present in a new version with some changes, hopefully, improved their quality and readability.

At the same time, this book is going to be bilingual - it comes out in both bulgarian, the original version, and in english. The quality of the translation will be adjudged by the specialists. This book is going to be released in very limited edition, designed especially for bibliophiles, for libraries and for a small circle of readers. Similar examples you could find in the Bulgarian publishing and in our own literature.

The motives for translating these works of mine, however, is mainly my desire to get this book to publishers, which will be able to assess the possibilities of the author and its properties to represent the collected texts here in one book in a foreign language. Without having any claims to the nationality or the country in which all of my stories in this collected edition will be published, I believe that they will make their way up to the experienced eyes of the literary agents and perhaps to publishers with whom I'll have the opportunity to work in future.

My professional experience has given me a sight view of the going out of print modern art books and I have even devoted some of my research to all of the literary and publishing processes in my country, in Europe and around the world. I dare to hope that with the ideas, with the positions and the different perspectives and points of view of the author, the stories in this collection will be accepted and along with that I hope to generate interest, which will make those stories light and easy to read, and entertaing, as it was the main purpose of their writing. Of course, I believe that these short stories contain intrigue and moral, happy ending or an unexpected outcome. Somewhere between al of those stories, the readers would be able to find some with an open end, which will make their fans to use their imagination and build them for themselves in intellectual thought. Let's not forget that the reader might even reconsider his own thought about other things in the real world after closing this book - things like the meaning of the human present, the embattled road to happines, the longing for light and joy in a fast-paced, difficult and confusing world - the world of global presence and our mysterious future.
