Sozopol

It is the professional and filial duty of every historian to write the story of his birthplace, regardless of the nature of the academic problems, which he solves during his career. I have to admit that I`ve had these cravings since I was a young historian. And thank God I didn't do it then. Because I wouldn't have had the huge document fund on the history of Sozopol, which I have collected for almost 40 years, while working on other problems. For example - I was working on establishing the books in the library of the "St John the Baptist" monastery in Serres, which were scattered across the world after the Balkan and I read in a French scientific article: "The book in the collection of manuscript ii the University of Michigan, USA, which was believed to have been part of the library in the monastery of Serres, after careful examination, appeared to belong to the library of the homonymous monastery in Sozopol".
